Event: Temple of Yog Super Demo Tour

If you’re in Toronto and need plans for the evening, you might consider one of the more innovative marketing campaigns in the history of gaming.

Temple of Yog is a new roguelike adventure game coming soon to the Wii U. To promote the launch, developer CHUDCHUD Industries is taking the game on tour, stopping in seven cities for live events featuring the game and a series of live musical performances. The Toronto iteration of the Super Demo Tour takes place tonight (February 25th) at Bento Miso and includes the musical stylings of Dr. Zilog, who composed the game’s soundtrack, as well as local acts like Dream Jefferson and The Blast Processors.

Temple of Yog will be playable on arcade cabinets available to the public, while Master of Ceremonies Buster Wolf will be handing out prizes throughout the evening. Lead artist Lee Bretschneider will also be in attendance with original artwork and prints from the game.

The Toronto stop on the Super Demo Tour runs from 6:30-10:30pm at Bento Miso (862 Richmond St. West). The team is in town for one night only – tomorrow’s show is in Chicago – so be sure to drop by if you want to find our more about the game, or if you simply want to hear some great music throughout the evening. It’s a novel way to get the word out so it should make for an entertaining night of music and adventure.
