IGN has posted the first trailer for Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day; the upcoming sequel to the 1999 cult hit helmed by director, Troy Duffy.
All the core characters will be returning; Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus reprise their roles as the McManus brothers. David Della Rocco returns as himself, and most importantly, Billy Connolly is back as Noah “Il DUCE” McManus.
If you haven’t seen the original film, I highly recommend it. Great action, witty dialogue and a hilarious performance by Willem Dafoe.
One of the things that makes the Boondock Saints movies cool, is that they shot the films all over Toronto. Troy Duffy filmed all over the city and was very welcoming to anyone who stopped by to check out the set. I had a chance to visit the production, but I missed out due to a work engagement. With my luck, I probably missed seeing a scene featuring Billy Connolly.
Tibit: Judd Nelson is playing the baddie in the Boondock Saints sequel. We’re talking John Bender from The Breakfast Club and to a lesser extent Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime.
