Wonder Woman: Bloodlines Trailer

Marvel may be the undisputed box office champ, but DC has been killing it with their animated movies and TV series. I would argue that DC’s 2018 animated feature, The Death of Superman adapts the source material better than Zack Snyder’s live-action epic, Batman v Superman.

DC’s animated features come in two varieties: one-off stories and in an MCU-style shared universe. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines’ version of Princess Diana is part of the DC universe’s animated film continuity. And even though the character has appeared in several films, she hasn’t had a moment to shine like her Justice League bros Batman and Superman.

Given the popularity of the character after Patty Jenkins’ 2017 smash, Wonder Woman, a standalone animated movie was only a matter of time. The folks at IGN have just revealed our first look at the new movie. And based on the trailer, this flick looks promising. It’s action-packed, features decent animation, and an excellent voice cast.

The film sees Rosario Dawson return to the role of Wonder Woman. She’s joined by Jeffrey Donovan as Steve Trevor, Cree Summer as Hippolyta, Michael Dorn as Ferdinand, Nia Vardalos as Julia Kapatelis, and Kimberly Brooks as The Cheetah/Giganta. The film is co-directed by Justin Copeland (Batman: Hush) and Sam Liu (The Death of Superman).
