Nintendo and Majesco recently unveiled a sequel to their classic NES game A Boy and His Blob for the Wii. The animated sidescroller tells the story of the friendship between a boy and his pet alien blob. The boy can feed various types of jellybeans to the blob, each one allowing the blob to transform into various objects the boy can use to progress through the level. The blob can take many forms, a few of which include a parachute, ladder, bouncy ball and even the boy himself.
I really enjoyed the first game as a kid, and I can’t wait to play this classic 2D update. It looks gorgeous in action.
