Code Vein Locks In Release Date With a New Trailer

Code Vein is at E3 and from what we’ve heard (and seen) feedback on the cel-shaded Souls-inspired game from Bandai Namco is fun, brutal, and fast!

A new trailer from developer Bandai Namco highlights the story behind Code Vein while affirming the release date of September 27, 2019. This comes after a series of delays and an original release from September 2018. It’s been a long time coming, but the gameplay sure packs a bite.

Players create their own character and customize their experience with several types of weapons, items, and Skills. Set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia where the survivors now thirst for blood to survive, but go too far and you run the risk of turning into one of the Lost; a ghoul lacking in humanity, always hungry.

As an advocate of delaying a product until it is ready to go, the year needed for Code Vein to develop and grow is what the industry needs to consider doing, especially if crunch is involved for developers.

Code Vein launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this Fall.
