The U.K war drama ’71 has been getting a great response from film festivals all over the world for the past year. In our TIFF review, Zack Kotzer called it an “exemplary first film from Yann Demange” that will “wind you up and propel you away.” It’s now receiving a limited release in Canada, and we want to send you to an advance screening in Toronto or Vancouver courtesy of Elevation pictures!
’71 is about a young British soldier played by Jack O’Connell (Skins) who is accidentally abandoned by his unit following a terrifying riot on the streets of Belfast in 1971. Unable to tell friend from foe, the raw recruit must survive the night alone and find his way to safety through a disorienting, alien and deadly landscape.
To enter the contest, simply email your name to [email protected] with ’71 in the subject line and which city you’d like to attend a screening in. Please only one email entry per household.
