The Toronto film Diamond Tongues has been doing well on the festival circuit and is coming home with a week at the TIFF Bell Lightbox starting August 7th. The film stars Leah Fay Goldstein of the popular indie band July Talk, it also costars comedian Nick Flanagan and features appearances by many familiar faces, including George Stroumboulopoulos , Matt Johnson (The Dirties), even Dork Shelf’s film editor Noah R. Taylor shows up for a couple scenes.

Just about everyone who desires a career in the arts asks themselves at some point “when is this going to happen?” Edith Wellend is an aspiring actress who asks herself this everyday. She becomes increasingly jealous of her peers’ minor achievements and when she can’t figure out what she’s doing wrong, she begins to do everything wrong.

Courtesy of the the TIFF Bell Lightbox, we’re giving readers a chance to win tickets to Friday’s premiere followed by a Q and A with the cast and filmmakers. Read our Slamdance review of the film here.
