CONTEST: See LITTLE TERRORS in TORONTO!

This Valentines Day, we continue to spread contest love in the city of TORONTO by finding new ways to scare the shit out of you and a loved one. Today we want to send two lucky winners a pair of passes to see the next instalment of the highly successful LITTLE TERRORS horror shorts series at the Carlton Cinema on Wednesday, February 20th at 9:00pm!

Rue Morgue Magazine & Unstable Ground present LITTLE TERRORS – Short Film Event – Volume 16 – Frostbitten

Check out the fifteenth edition of a monthly showcase of horror short films! Originally featured at the great Toronto rep-cinema The Projection Booth, the program’s new home is MAGIC LANTERN CARLTON CINEMA. Enjoy two full hours of the craziest, goriest, most-disturbing and off-the-wall short films the genre has to offer, followed by an in depth Q&A/meet & greet with some of the filmmakers themselves! This event is 18+.

The sixteenth edition’s amazing line-up is high-end thrills at their best – do not miss this!

The Graveyard Feeder (12 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Rich Robinson
Groundskeeper Burke Sawyer (Sean Bridgers, The Woman) is in a rush to save his deceased father’s soul from a menacing corpse-feeding creature that burrows underground at his cemetery.

Fade Into You (14 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Michael Rosenbaum
Actor/director Rosenbaum presents a romantic night gone horribly wrong. Starring Danielle Harris (Halloween IV-V, The Victim) and AJ Bowen (You’re Next, The Signal).

A Pretty Funny Story (19 minutes)
DIR: Evan Morgan
Rick, a bored family man, finally has a story that will make him a hit amongst his co-workers: he and his wife witness their neighbour in an intensely embarrassing moment. The night before he can share the hilarious story, however, the neighbour takes drastic action to keep him silent. Award-winning previous selection of TIFF and Toronto After Dark.

The Sleepover (5.5 minutes)
DIR: Chris Cullari
The town of Derry has a secret, and no one told the new kid. It’s gonna be a long night. Hilariously knowing homage to slasher films.

Stay At Home Dad (15 minutes)
DIR: John Skipp & Andrew Kasch
A new father attempts experimental hormone therapy in order to be able to nurse his child, leading to nightmarish results. Featuring Trent Haaga.

Rubik’s Cube Terror (6 minutes, Estonia)
DIR: Sander Maran, Karl-Joosep Ilves, Jan Andresson
I’m not even sure I can accurate describe this one. This is one serious puzzle.

Foxes (16 minutes, Ireland)
DIR: Lorcan Finnegan
A young couple trapped in a remote estate of empty houses and shrieking foxes are beckoned rom their isolation into a twilight world. A world of the paranormal or perhaps insanity. Extremely well made short.

Frost (10 minutes)
DIR: Jeremy Ball
A young arctic hunter’s search for food takes her beyond a sacred boundary and leads to a strange and terrifying discovery. Previous selection of Toronto After Dark. Nominated for a 2013 Canadian Screen Award.
