*ahem* Sorry about the all caps explosion there, but one of our favourite movies from the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival Midnight Madness programme is finally coming to Toronto next Friday, March 23rd (April 6th in other Canadian cities), and if you’re in the area, Dork Shelf and Alliance Films want to send 20 lucky winners and their friends to an advanced screening of the much buzzed about action thriller The Raid: Redemption on Thursday, March 22nd.

This balls to the wall Indonesian action adventure focuses on a group of tactical police officers performing a raid on a run down tenament building that’s home to a ruthless crime lord. Once they’re discovered and they realize there’s no hope for back-up arriving, things escalate quickly. At the centre of all of this one officer vows to bring his criminal brother home to his family in one piece.
