It’s been 14 years since filmmaker Guillermo del Toro first announced he was working on a reimagining of the classic tale of Pinocchio. Set in 1930s Fascist Italy and starring voice-over talent like Ewan McGregor, Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton, the stop-motion animated musical finally hit theatres and Netflix this month to rave reviews.
To celebrate the film’s release, Netflix has released a deluxe, illustrated book dedicated to the creative journey that brought Pinocchio to life. Filled with stunning visuals, concept art, storyboards, exclusive interviews with del Toro, co-director Mark Gustafson, their cast and crew, and more, That Shelf is giving away a signed copy to one lucky fan—courtesy of Netflix Canada!
