Warner Bros. has released the third and final trailer for their upcoming film Inception. The film is directed by dork favourite Christopher Nolan (Memento, The Dark Knight) and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Canada’s own Ellen Page.

Although the film has been in production for quite some time, the amount of secrecy surrounding the film has been incredible. More importantly, it’s impressive how much of that secrecy has actually been upheld and enforced given the internet mentality of reporting every little tidbit or blurb from on-set spies. For several months now, only one sentence has been released about the film: “A contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” Those looking for a more detailed synopsis should click here, but be aware of possible spoilers.
This trailer finally reveals many details about the plot of the movie, but I won’t discuss them here for the benefit of those wishing to go in cold and not know anything about the film. Needless to say, the incredible visuals and Hans Zimmer’s amazing score have me amped for this film. The acting looks solid and the now revealed story seems like one of the most unique screenplays to hit cinemas since Memento.
To make things even more interesting, this is Nolan’s first piece of original work since his film debut, Following. All of his films since then have been remakes or been based on an existing property.
Inception is due in theatres July 16th 2010.
