Mindhunter: First Look at Season Two of Netflix’s Gripping Serial Killer Procedural

See the first images from season two of the highly anticipated David Fincher-directed series

If you’re like us then you’re probably a sucker for the true crime genre. And if you are a fan then you’ll know that nowhere is this genre better explored – in a semi-fictionalized sense at least – than in Netflix’s gritty serial killer drama Mindhunter. The second season of the acclaimed series, produced by series director David Fincher and Charlize Theron, returns to Netflix on August 16 and we’ve got some new images that you probably won’t see elsewhere.

We said that you probably won’t see these images elsewhere because the Netflix press site provided to journalists offered us literally hundreds of season two Mindhunter images but only allowed us to choose eight to share with our readers. We may have cheated and logged in on a different computer to grab more photos, but that’s what any intrepid investigator would do in our shoes. The images also offer us our first look at Charles Manson (Damon Herriman – who also plays the criminal a few decades earlier in Quentin Tarantino’s forthcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), who will no doubt be consulted by agents Ford and Tench in their next murder investigation.

Mindhunter Season 2 synopsis:

FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench probe further into the psyches of those who have done the unthinkable. With help from psychologist Wendy Carr, they apply their groundbreaking behavioral analysis to hunting notorious serial killers.

Mindhunter season 2 premieres on August 16 only on Netflix.
