Also, a special screening of festival favourite I Am Breathing in honour of National ALS Day on Friday.

NXNE 2013: Film

With the film portion of this year's 19th annual NXNE festival kicking off this Thursday, we take a look at six of this years offerings: All Out War, Mistaken for Strangers, BB King - The Life of Reily, The Rolling Stones - Charlie is My Darling - Ireland 1965, Filmage - The Story of Descendants/ALL, and Global Groove Network.

Lore & Hava Nagila: The Movie Reviews

Because we are running out of space on the main page, we're letting the review for two of our recent festival favourites bunk up together on their Toronto debuts. The family drama Lore from TIFF 2012 deals with one young girl protecting her siblings in light of her parents sins. Hava Nagila: The Movie is a lighthearted and fun doc from this year's Toronto Jewish Film Festival about the history of the only song needed to get any Jewish party in full swing.
