Trailer
An intense new trailer for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy has hit the web. The film — an adaptation of the John le Carré's novel of the same name — is the first English-language effort from Let the Right One In director Tomas Alfredson. Set during the coldest days of the Cold War, semi-retired spy George Smiley (Gary Oldman) is enlisted by MI6 to help sniff out a Soviet double agent within their ranks.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes Trailer
I'll admit, I've never been a great fan of the Planet of the Apes series, beyond the original film. And certainly it's getting quite tiresome to see remakes, reboots and the like coming out of Hollywood rather than more original material. But the first trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes looks rather promising.
Batman: Arkham City Gameplay Trailer
Over a year after the then-unnamed sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum was announced to a chorus of applause, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Rocksteady Studios have finally released a trailer for the sequelArkham City that includes sweet, sweet gameplay for fans to devour and analyse.
Drive Angry Red Band Trailer & Exclusive Stills
We're unabashed fans of Nicolas Cage and his eccentric oeuvre at the Shelf, so when we heard about his new film Drive Angry we we understandably excited. Cage plays Milton, a man who fights his way out of Hell and returns to Earth in order to avenge the death of his daughter. Did we mention that it's in 3D? That's right, pissed off, undead Nicolas Cage kicking asses in 3D. Do we really need to say anything more?
Duke Nukem Forever Release Date(!?)
For more than ten hilarious years, Duke Nukem Forever has been — to game nerds — a most marvelous on-going joke of a game, so fabled and so outdated that many wondered if it would only ever exist in alternative dimensions where dinosaurs lived on and you have a beard/don't have a beard. However, earlier today we discovered that this most cherished gag may come to an end earlier than we think.
Thor Trailer Thunders Online
Marvel has released the first official trailer for Thor. The Kenneth Branagh directed action epic stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular Norse god of thunder, robbed of his power and cast down to Earth by his father Odin. The film also stars Anthony Hopkins as Odin, and Natalie Portman as his love interest, Jane Foster.
TRON: Legacy Final Theatrical Trailer
Disney has unveiled the final theatrical trailer for the upcoming TRON: Legacy. Like the previous trailers for the film this one is a visual treat, but what makes this one different is that it finally reveals the plot of the film. TRON: Legacy stars Garrett Hedlund as Sam Flynn — son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) from the 1982 TRON — who must travel to the digital world to find his father who has been missing for 25 years.
Your Highness
Red Band Trailer
The new red band trailer for David Gordon Green's fantasy-comedy Your Highness has hit the web. Quick word of warning about the trailer: it's red band. That means it contains violence, excessive swearing, stoner jokes and Natalie Portman in a thong — although we sincerely doubt that the last warning will serve as much of a deterrent.
Green Lantern Fan-Made Trailer
Using footage from multiple sources YouTube user jaronpitt‘s has assembled a very impressive trailer for a non-existent Green Lantern movie starring Firefly star Nathan Fillion. This is an impressive mashup that gives us an idea of what the actual live-action Green Lantern movie will actually look like. Thanks to Fip Lele.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies Trailer
For the past few years Warner Brothers has produced a steady stream of animated straight-to-DVD films based on stories and characters from the DC Universe. The first film WB and DC released was Superman: Doomsday, a retelling of the popular “Death of Superman” arc. The next was a tie-in to mark the release of The Dark Knight, Batman: Gotham Knight: six animé […]
Trailer for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes
The first trailer for Guy Ritchie‘s Sherlock Holmes film starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law has hit the web. RocknRolla was a great return to form for Ritchie, I’m hoping he’ll continue the trend with Holmes. If the trailer is any indication Sherlock Holmes looks like it will be highly entertaining.
The Road Trailer
The big screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy‘s post-apocalyptic novel The Road finally has a trailer. Director John Hillcoat, who made the excellent Aussie Western The Proposition, has been hard at work on The Road for nearly two years and his vision looks to be very faithful to the McCarthy’s novel. Initially slated for release last […]
