Rege-Jean Page, Chadwick Boseman, Catherine O'Hara

2021 SAG Award Nominees: The Full List

The 2021 SAG Award nominees were chaotically, but charmingly, presented earlier today on Instagram Live by co-hosts Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, The Good Lord Bird) and Lily Collins (Emily in Paris, Mank). Despite some technical issues and a brief fashion interlude to show off Diggs’ truly spectacular starfish ensemble, they got right down to business.

While some picks echoed yesterday’s Golden Globe nominations, others made up for a few series and films that went ignored—most notably Da 5 Bloods and Twitter fave Regency romance Bridgerton. The former saw recognition in the Best Supporting Actor category (one of two posthumous honours for Chadwick Boseman), as well as in the Best Film Ensemble and Stunt Ensemble categories, while the latter received a Best Male Performance in a Drama Series nomination for Regé-Jean Page alongside a Best Ensemble in a TV Drama nod for its entire cast.

Michaela Coel, who wowed critics and audiences in “I May Destroy You,” snagged her first nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries. Then there was the Female Actor in a Drama category, which unusually saw contenders from just two shows: “The Crown” and “Ozark.”
