The School for Good and Evil

CONTEST: Win screening passes for THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL!

Based on the best-selling book series by Soman Chainani, Netflix’s latest production is an epic fantasy that puts a new twist on the concept of fairytales and where they come from.

The story centres around best friends Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie). Sophie is a beautiful girl who has always believed she would become a Princess, while Agatha, already deemed an oddity by her fellow villagers, seems destined to become a witch. Upon arrival at the titular school, their fortunes are reversed and Agatha is taken to the School for Good, while Sophie is taken to the School for Evil. Can their friendship survive the mix-up or will they find a way to set things right?

Directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) and written by Feig and David Magee, and narrated by Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, The School for Good and Evil is set to arrive on Netflix on October 19. To celebrate its release, That Shelf wants to send you and a friend to a special preview screening at Toronto’s Paradise Theatre on October 18.
