Every Star Trek Theatrical Trailer

Patrick Stewart and William Shatner as Captain Picard and Captain Kirk in Star Trek: Generations

With the release of J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot/prequel this week, Dork Shelf wanted to take a look back at the previous 10 Star Trek films—or at least their trailers.

There have been great Trek movies like Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: First Contact.  There have also been bad Trek movies like Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis.  As for the movies the other movies I failed to mention, they seem to rank somewhere between mediocre to good.  Which one you like the best is up for debate, but we all know that some of the movies were just glorified episodes of the TV show, while others set themselves apart as films that could stand on their own.

Videos after the jump.
