The eighth and final season of the HBO juggernaut Game of Thrones is only five days away! Publicity has been ramping up markedly in these past couple of weeks and we have been blessed with a number of interviews from our stars, discussing their work on the show and other projects they have managed to work on while filming the most hotly anticipated television season in recent memory.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau – Jaime Lannister
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau stops by The Ellen Show to discuss his experiences with horseback riding (it’s tougher than it looks!), his hilarious 30 second explanation of the show, and his recent experience of visiting the country of Rwanda with the United Nations.
Kit Harington – Jon Snow
Kit Harington is back on Late Night with Seth Meyers, opening up with his experience hosting Saturday Night Live this past weekend, his hilarious April Fools’ prank that may or may not have backfired, and laughing as the audience cheered his scenes in Season 6 where he lied dead on a table, naked.
Emilia Clarke – Daenerys Targaryen
Emilia Clarke stops by CBS Sunday Morning and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She dives deep into who Daenerys Targaryen truly is, what she discovered about herself while filming this incredible role over the course of a decade, and her beginnings as an actor. As a bonus, she finds herself with a new title: The Mother of Puppies!
John Bradley – Samwell Tarly
John Bradley, who plays our lovable and strong Samwell Tarly, stops by Conan and brings with him a hilarious and touching story about how he got his beginnings on Game of Thrones.
Conleth Hill – Varys
Conleth Hill, often described as being the funniest actor on the Game of Thrones set, comes with his requisite charm and snappy humour. He delves into his time on the show, his surprising invitee to the show’s red carpet premiere in New York City, and his homecoming to a home he never truly left.
Stay tuned for more interviews in the coming week or so as Game of Thrones‘ final season premiere on April 14 approaches!
