Halt and Catch Fire 404

Halt and Catch Fire: Exclusive Episode 404 Clip

The fourth and final season of AMC’s intense tech drama Halt and Catch Fire is nearing its midpoint. Jumping ahead to the dawn of the internet, the first three episodes of this season have seen Gordon, Joe, Donna, and Cameron embroiled in the internet service provider wars of the early 1990s and a race to create a hit web browser. However, as the season has progressed it’s become increasingly obvious – to Joe and Donna in particular – that the key to the burgeoning worldwide web isn’t to be the gatekeepers, but to offer users a map of sorts in order to navigate it.

We’ve got an exclusive clip from this week’s episode of Halt and Catch Fire (hilariously titled “Tonya and Nancy”) where Gordon (Scoot McNairy) and Joe (Lee Pace) hammer out their next steps: expanding their company by hiring a team of websurfers to map the web.

Halt and Catch Fire remains one of our favourite things on TV right now. Taught, intense, well-written and well-acted, the series is a worthy successor to other AMC dramas like Mad Men and Breaking Bad. It also happens to feature one of the best ensembles currently on TV – Lee Pace (The Hobbit), Mackenzie Davis (The Martian), Scoot McNairy (Monsters, Fargo), Kerry Bishé (Argo), Toby Huss (King of the Hill), and this season they’ve added Veep alum Anna Chlumsky.

Be sure to listen to our recent interview with Halt star Scoot McNairy where we discuss the show’s final season, his relationship with Gordon, and of course what’s on his Dork Shelf.
