Meadowlarks premiered to rave reviews at TIFF 2025 as part of its Special Presentations program, and recently won the Panorama Audience Award at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Directed and co-written by Canadian filmmaker Tasha Hubbard, and inspired by her own acclaimed documentary “Birth of a Family”, the film tells the story of four Cree siblings, separated by the Sixties Scoop during childhood and now in their fifties, who agree to meet for the first time over a holiday weekend in Banff. It stars Michael Greyeyes, Carmen Moore, Michelle Thrush, and Alex Rice.

Meadowlarks marks Hubbard’s first feature-length film, and Mongrel Media will release it theatrically across Canada starting November 28.
