From Oscar-nominated director Baz Luhrmann comes the brand-new biopic Elvis, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. The feature, which premiered at Cannes in May, tracks 20 years of the life and career of the one and only Elvis Presley (Butler) alongside his complex relationship with manager Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). That Shelf Chief Film Critic (and Cannes Fest vet) Jason Gorber stopped by CBC’s Metro Morning this morning to give us his take on the epic drama.
