The Shelf Episode 19: Nancy Cartwright on In Search of Fellini

Before Nancy Cartwright was known for voicing some of the most beloved Simpsons characters, such as Bart, Nelson and Ralph Wiggum, she was a young, aspiring actress who had a European odyssey when she want to Italy in search of enigmatic filmmaker Federico Fellini. The experiences she had over 30 years ago are now depicted in the “mostly” true story of In Search of Fellini, which Cartwright co-wrote and co-stars in.

We had the opportunity to chat with Cartwright about the film’s long journey the screen, why it’s only “mostly” based on real events, whether or not the end is near for The Simpsons, and we also touch on her small but memorable voice work in a little film called Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
