Welcome to another minisode of The Shelf – Dork Shelf’s official podcast.
On this episode we have a special treat just in time for the Oscars: interviews with the cast and director of the Oscar-nominated drama Moonlight.
Directed by Barry Jenkins, Moonlight chronicles the life of a young African-American man growing up in Miami. It’s a story of longing, love, addiction, and self-discovery – and it’s a really great film. The film is nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Dork Shelf Film Critic Jason Gorber had a chance to sit down with director Barry Jenkins and stars Trevante Rhodes and André Holland during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival last September. Listen below!
