Honey Bunch Trailer: All is Not What It Seems

Canadian filmmaking team Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli pile on the eerie atmosphere in their sophomore film, Honey Bunch—a genre-bending thriller that looks to have enough surprises to satisfy even the most jaded of movie-goers. And now we’re getting a taste of what to expect in the film’s very first trailer.

Their film follows a husband and wife, Diana and Homer (played by real-life couple Grace Glowicki and Ben Petrie), as they head into the woods to an experimental treatment facility. Diana has suffered a recent serious injury but can’t remember exactly why they’re going or what happened to make it necessary. Once there, the memories that begin to resurface do little to help her uncover her partner’s secrets or explain away her increasing difficulty in separating truth from fiction.

With Gothic atmosphere to spare, a ’70s and early ’80s vibe that hits just right, and a supporting cast full of stalwarts like Jason Isaacs and Katie Dickie, Honey Bunch looks like it could be a film set to bring a refreshingly original recipe to the early 2026 cinematic buffet.

It set tongues wagging at both TIFF and the Berlinale in 2025, and is now set to hit theatres Friday, January 23, courtesy of Elevation Pictures.
