Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have finally released a gameplay trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The video comes on the heels of the impressive pre-rendered trailer for the game which debuted at this year’s E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo).

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the third game in the Deus Ex franchise and the first to not be developed by Ion Storm and series creator Warren Spector. The game can best be described as an action role-playing game, combining elements of various genres including first person shooters, third person action/stealth and traditional skill-based roleplaying.
As a huge fan of the original game, I have to say that until now I have been extremely skeptical about the whole project. The E3 trailer was an impressive showpiece for the pre-rendered elements of the game, but told us little of what the actual game would be like. Finally seeing the game in action has allayed some of my fears. It’s not old school Deus Ex, but it seems to have captured some of the spirit. I can’t wait to see more.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is set for a February 2011 release date.
