Spies in Disguise is a new animated film starring Hollywood megastar Will Smith, and cinema’s greatest live-action Spider-Man, Tom Holland.
Spies in Disguise wasn’t on my radar until I watched the trailer, and at a glance, it looks like plenty of fun. Smith and Holland have charisma to spare, the animation appears top-notch, and based on the team behind the scenes, it looks like the picture is in great hands.
Spies in Disguise’s co-directors Nick Bruno and Troy Quane are light on directing credits, but they’ve been part of the art departments on some great films. Bruno was the supervising animator on The Peanuts Movie, and Quane was the storyboard artist on Hotel Transylvania and 9. The movie’s screenwriter has written scripts for great comedies such as Arrested Development and The Inbetweeners.
And a quick glance at IMDb reveals Spies in Disguise’s killer cast. The picture features the voices of Karen Gillan (Doctor Who), Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel), Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation), Ben Mendelsohn (Captain Marvel), Reba McEntire (Reba), and DJ Khaled.
