The Best Man Holiday Review

After an impressive and genuinely funny first hour, The Best Man Holiday manages to turn to sour, rancid eggnog that negates any and all good will that came before it, essentially forgetting about everything that made the first film from 1999 such a pleasant surprise in the first place.

Kick Ass 2 Review

Misguidedly choosing incredibly lame jokes instead of maintaining Mark Millar's (sometimes) misguided edginess, Kick Ass 2 is a dreadful mess of hedged bets that somehow becomes more offensive to watch than if the film had been actively going for the shock value Millar's work often courts in the first place.

The Call Review

For the first two thirds of it's running time The Call is a smart and clever B-movie proceedural that benefits from some great performances, but just like how a real life 911 operator very rarely finds out how a call ends after they hang up, you might not want to stick around to see how this thing ends.
