Home Entertainment: Coffy Review

Pam Greir’s star-making feature Coffy is just as ludicrously entertaining to dip into these days as it was in 1973 and should be sampled by more than just the usual Blaxploitation cultists.

Hatchet III Review

With even less story, slightly less gore than before, and a new director, Hatchet III is an okay resurrection of modern slasher icon Victor Crowley, but the real joy comes from watching a cast of old horror pros have a bit of fun.

Creature Review

There might not be a more colossal misfire this year than Creature. That’s not to say that it’s the worst horror film of the year. but there are a few things worth recommending in this tale of a monster living in the Louisiana bayou. Worst of all, Creature feels no need to overcome its shortcomings by at least being fun. There’s very little joy to be had in how bad this film is.
