Birth of a Nation Sundance

The Roundup Episode #18 – Alanna Bennett

This week we’re joined by the absolutely lovely Alanna Bennett from Buzzfeed, who writes some of our favourite hilarious nerdy and sexy man-themed articles.

In film we’ll be discussing the Sundance hit Birth of a Nation, a new version of the Bechdel test aimed at testing diversity, and the new photos from Ghostbusters being released. In TV we’ll be chatting about a British white guy being cast as Michael Jackson for some reason, the new comedy You Me and the Apocalypse, Steven Moffat FINALLY stepping down as Doctor Who showrunner, and the Hamilton documentary coming to PBS this fall. And then we’ll end the show by talking about how DC Comics is rebooting and ruining beloved children’s classic Scooby Doo.
