Halt and Catch Fire Season 4 - Scoot McNairy

The Shelf Minisode: Scoot McNairy on Halt and Catch Fire Season 4

On the latest episode of The Shelf, we have fun chat with actor Scoot McNairy, star of the AMC tech drama Halt and Catch Fire.

You’ve probably seen McNairy in films like Monsters, Argo, Gone Girl, Batman v. Superman, or in memorable TV appearances, such as his recent turn as professional scumbag Maurice LeFay on season three of Fargo.

But it’s in his role as Gordon Clark on Halt and Catch Fire that McNairy has spent the most time with audiences in recent years. On Halt, McNairy is part of what this writer considers to be one of the finest ensemble casts currently on TV. In addition to McNairy the series includes fantastic actors like Lee Pace, Mackenzie Davis, Kerry Bishé, and Toby Huss. That talented cast a huge part of what has made Halt so damn watchable over the past three season, and as the series begins its fourth and final season on August 19th it’s clear they’re still firing on all cylinders.

We recently spoke with Scoot McNairy about Halt and Catch Fire’s final season, his journey with Gordon Clark, and the character’s complicated relationships with Joe, Cameron, and Donna. We also talked about some of his earliest internet memories, HAM radios, and of course, what’s on his Dork Shelf.
