Relive your childhood and start your summer off right by checking out The Fox Theatre‘s upcoming 80’s Fest. The fest runs from May 28th to June 3rd and will feature 35mm prints of classics such as Ghostbusters, Heavy Metal, Buckaroo Banzai, Dirty Dancing, Top Gun, Return of the Living Dead, Conan the Barbarian, The Karate Kid and many more. Don’t pass up your chance to see these gems on the big screen. The 25th anniversary of Back to the Future is just around the corner and to celebrate The Fox is bringing up an original print of the film to play during the fest.
Dork Shelf is teaming up with The Fox to give away four passes for 80’s Fest—that means you’ll be able to see any and all of films playing during the festival for free! All you have to do is leave a comment below telling us what your favourite 1980’s movie is and why. Winners will be chosen at random. If you don’t comment you can’t win, so tell us about that film you grew up loving and you’ll be entered for a chance to win. The contest ends Wednesday, May 26th so check back on the 27th to find out who won!
Tickets at The Fox are $7 for members and $10 for non-members. Memberships will run you $10 and if you buy one you’ll be able to get into the double bill for only $10! For those who don’t know The Fox is located at 2236 Queen Street East in The Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto.
