Want to watch a team of students battle sleep deprivation and bizarre video games while they raise money for charity? Of course you do!
I feel it's time we did some good. Inspired by LoadingReadyRun's Desert Bus for Hope (http://www.desertbus.org/), starting Dec 18th at noon we will marathon some of the weirdest video games ever made to raise funds for Child's Play (http://childsplaycharity.org/). For your entertainment we will be streaming our suffering and terrible wit live over the internet. As long as the donations keep streaming in we will not stop until we reach our donation goal and the time limit of 30 hours (Ending on Dec 19th @ 6:00p).
Blanket Forts: Festivus
On December 17th, we invite you to stay up past your bedtime as we build an even larger complex of blanket forts. Explore the labyrinthine maze of softness, this time built inside a beautiful 5,000 square-foot loft on Queen West. Enjoy bedtime stories, winter- and holiday-themed areas, art installations and late-night snacks. Pyjamas highly encouraged.

Pontypool with Very Special Guests
As part of the Toronto Underground Cinema's "Good Canadian Cinema" series, we are proud to present director Bruce McDonald's Pontypool which has not only solidified its place in Canadian cinematic history, but is also very quickly becoming a cult hit around the world. Joining us for this special evening, co-presented by Rue Morgue and Chizine Publications, will be the stars of Pontypool famed Canadian actor Stephen McHattie and actress Lisa Houle. We will also be joined by the author of the novel Pontypool Changes Everything and the writer of the film, Tony Burgess.

Here is the deal. There is a feeling in this country that people just don't care about English Canadian films. That we would rather watch any crap that the US slams down our throats then a decent English Canadian flick. We here at the cinema always think hard about showing Canadians films or not. We just aren't sure people will actually come out to see them. The first and second wave of Canadian Cinema films has been announced!

Narwhal Art Projects is pleased to present Hibernation Sickness, a solo exhibition with Toronto collective Team Macho. Hibernation Sickness marks the collective's notable return to fine art after a two year sabbatical dedicated to their individual pursuits. A term used to describe the side effects associated with awakening from a period of suspended animation, Team Macho related similar type symptoms when returning to their group practice. Although their creative environment has remained virtually unchanged for the past six years with all members continuing to create out of the legendary shared space, the dynamic within the collective altered as each member developed their individual practice.
