Interview
The Cast of Being Human

We caught up with the cast of SPACE and SyFy's new supernatural dramedy Being Human this afternoon in Toronto. The series is adapted from a BBC3 show of the same name about a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost who share a flat. We joined Sam Huntington, Meaghan Rath and Sam Witwer to talk about the show, their schools of vampirism, lycanthropy and poltergeisting, shooting the show in Montreal, and what they have on their dork shelves.

Being Human Preview

So a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost walk into a bar... No, that's not the beginning of a lame dad joke, that's the premise of SPACE's supernatural dramedy Being Human. Okay, more like a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost move into a house together and hilarity/shenanigans/brutal killings ensue.

Stargate: Universe Cancelled by SyFy

The recent announcement about SyFy's cancellation of Stargate: Universe has certainly had a mixed reaction. While hardcore fans bemoan the loss of the show, other Stargate purists didn't appreciate SGU's grittier tone. One troll even described it as 'watered down, soap opera garbage'. Many blame this on the network having moved the show to Tuesday nights in order to make room for WWE Friday Night Smackdown. That's set in space or something, right?

Interview Ryan Robbins of Sanctuary & Battlestar Galactica

We recently had an opportunity to sit down and chat with Canadian actor Ryan Robbins from the hit sci-fi series Sanctuary. Robbins may also be familiar to viewers for his featured roles on Battlestar Galactica, Caprica and the steampunk web series Riese.

Stargate Universe
“Aftermath” Review

Last week's episode Stargate Universe provided a nice conclusion to the cliffhanger ending of season one, but also left many issues unresolved. Things are starting to get back to normal aboard the Destiny, or at least as close to normalcy as it can get on a ship lost on the other side of the universe.

Stargate Universe
“Incursion (Part 3)” Review

Incursion (Part 3) is the third part of the cliffhanger season one finale of SGU. Members of the Lucian Alliance have boarded the Destiny and taken members of the crew hostage. TJ (Alaina Huffman) has been shot and the life of her and her unborn child hang in the balance. The Lucian leader, Kiva, has also been shot in the struggle, leading to tension amongst the guerrillas. With their leader incapacitated, Kiva's subordinates begin to squabble over the leadership of the group, with one sect wanting to treat the Destiny's crew humanely and the other opting to just kill them all.

Interview
David Blue
of Stargate Universe

We caught up with Stargate Universe actor David Blue at Fan Expo this year and were very pleased to discover that he more than lives up to his character's dorky reputation. Blue plays resident geek Eli Wallace on the sci-fi series, helping to save the Destiny with his genius and dropping delightfully nerdy references in a charming, yet slightly inept attempt to lighten the mood of his fellow space castaways.
