Get your hatchets and beans ready, because we've learned that one Dean "Rocket" Hall, creator of the wildly popular ARMA 2 mod DayZ, will be coming to TO for the two day game celebration running November 3 - 4.

Tokyo Game Show (TGS), the biggest games exhibition in Japan, generated most of the headlines late this week. While most note that the Japanese games industry has shrunk over the last few years, especially in comparison to the growth of developers and studios in North America, the home of Sony, Nintendo and other creators still puts on an impressive show every year. The exhibit runs for the duration of the festival and infuses the proceedings with a bit of local gaming flavour with help from a slew of prominent developers. 500k in Hours: How Homestuck Made a Boatload of Bucks

If you've been paying attention to webcomics in the last couple years, you've inevitably ran across MS Paint Adventures, or at least the cosplayers attached to it. Naturally, being aimed at pre-teens-and-older who spend a growing amount of their free time online, this comic is pretty damned popular. That became evident when the comic's creator, Andrew Hussie, put up a Kickstarter yesterday with the aim of funding an adventure game after the comic finished.
